Taking my son to the grocery store is a feat. I think he gets sensory overload. Yes, I am the parent whose kid is running around trying to be helpful but all over the place and going back for as many free cookies as he can get. Or maybe it is because when my husband takes him shopping they play hide-n-seek. I am just waiting from them to get banned from the supermarket.
When my aunt came to visit and a trip to the grocery store was a must (I have no food in my house I am not a great cook. We eat a lot of sandwiches). She was kind enough to make us spaghetti and meatballs and not the frozen kind! But I think by the time we got done with our 45 minute trip she was ready to go and hide.
The only camera I had was my phone so these are a little out of focus here and there but I figure isn't life that same way? This is a moment of chaos and crazy that to me was just beautiful and fun. I am pretty sure the other shoppers didn't feel the same way or the worker that had to get a ladder to get my son's flying lion from the top of a shelf. But I saw cousins getting to know each other and kids being silly and fun.
My child is the one with no shoes.
Thank you aunt Carolyn for enduring the madness at my house and I hope we didn't scare you away.
